Poem on Unreal Personality: Fickle Face

What's Behind My Poem

The saddest truth is, it's not always easy to bring our original and authentic versions. First, we get criticized by the community where we are inn, and their criticisms are mostly destructive, not constructive. And after getting criticized, our minds ask for a change without knowing whichh criticism we have received. Okay, we characterize a face, then.
The story goes. Imagine we leave a community for joining the other one. In the new group, we get criticized again for being not like them. We characterize a face again. Each of us fit in using a fickle face, instead of showing the real one.
This is a general situation that you can use as a clue to interpret my message in my poem, y'all. Again, here's my social commentary poem. Enjoy!

Fickle Face

A Social Commentary Poem on Unreal Personality

There’s a speaking silhouette on your side, unknowingly designed

Against all facts, searching for new persons, hunting the matchings

No one is requested to be someone else

only you break the door once

There’s a tiny head, there’s a small fragmen

They merge in togetherness, become friends

create and paint the other form of you

because of the silly little you

Until your paper is already full

The pencil still works that cool

You getting panic, getting late

Moving, jumping, somersaulting to seek for another plate

Having nothing left, silly you, silly little you

The fickle face holds too many forms with just a goal

Compete to be shown and seen as real

while you receive more drawings, paintings

But, your paper is only a piece

There’s another speaking silhouette on your side

comes from the addiction to split and hide

plays around with your splitted soul

until the chaos has no more bowl

  1. Being authentic is tough. Sometimes it's even threatening.
